Historical mule track connecting Riomaggiore to the Vara-mare watershed. The track is detached from the carriage road, near the Castle - surpassed which meets the shrine of the Madonna del Castello - and goes up the coast until it crosses the Provincial Road 370 (Litoranea). The trail rises steeply up through terraces of vineyards and orchards. Continuing along the path we notice the abandoned vineyards leaving room for the woods of chestnut and pine trees. On the side of a vineyard there is a votive shrine known as "Maduneta di Palermi". TREKKING SHOES ARE STRONGLY SUGGESTED, NOT FOR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN.
